Welcome to Room 10

Room 10 is a busy classroom right next to the office with Year 6 students. Mrs Rai is the teacher in 2011. Throughout the year we are setting goals for learning in the main areas of reading, writing and maths. We use the 6 thinking hats and the SOLO taxonomy throughout the day.

When families are involved in helping the students learn, we see our students make great progress. We know that many parents love to encourage their children by listening to them, talking to them, going out and having different experiences.

We are developing skills in recount writing, learning more about how to use reading strategies, and in maths.

We are learning how to use strategies to solve all sorts of maths problems. All the students should know the addition, subtraction,  multiplication and division facts so that they can give a quick and accurate answer.
