Principal's Welcome

Kia ora, Talofa lava, Malo e lelei, Namaste, Kia orana, Ni sa bula vinaka, Ni hao, Nee ho mar, Fakaalofa lahi atu, Sawasdee, Peace be with you.  

Hay Park School is a state funded co-educational contributing school located in Richardson Road, Mt Roskill, Auckland, New Zealand.  Our students represent approximatley twenty different nationalities and as a result has a rich and diverse cultural community.   

All the national curriculum areas are taught at Hay Park School; however having a large number of students from non-English speaking backgrounds means we have a special focus on literacy and numeracy.     

We are very proud of our student's achievements; beautiful gardens and grounds; and well resourced classrooms.  We encourage our children to be proud of their school and take pride in looking after it.  

Our school motto is ‘He paewae ki te ao marama – a stepping stone on the journey of learning’.  At Hay Park we believe that learning is a life-long process and encourage a strong partnership between school and home.  Parents are always welcome at Hay Park School to talk to me or your child’s teacher.   We offer opportunities such as Parent-Teacher-Child conferences and open evenings throughout the year to keep you informed about your child’s learning.
